Leaks Reveal Microsoft’s New One Outlook Email App

Microsoft’s One Outlook has rolled out as a leak, which has been confirmed by Microsoft and could be launching soon.

-

We have been tracking 's Project Monarch for several years. This is the One application that will unify Microsoft's email client into a single user experience across form factors and platforms. Microsoft initially planned a 2021 launch but reports earlier this year pointed to a spring 2022 release. Now, new leaks show One Outlook.

Of course, it seems Microsoft has missed the spring launch but the leak shows that One Outlook is now advanced and looks ready for preview. Spotted by the folks at Windows Central, the leak suggests some people are already able to download the One Outlook app.

However, this version looks to be limited to education and work users. As we have known for some time, One Outlook will borrow heavily from the current Outlook web version in terms of design and functionality.

One Outlook is a unified email experience, it will gather the various versions of the services from across platforms into a single app. For example, it will replace the Win32 and UWP apps on , Outlook Web Access, and the macOS version. It will also be hosted as Outlook for Web on browsers.

Coming Soon?

With this single version of One Outlook, Microsoft's Mail and Calendar apps will look and function the same across desktop platforms.

In a statement to The Verge, Microsoft's product manager for Outlook, Scott Stiles, confirmed the leak. He also suggests One Outlook will launch in the coming weeks:

“We appreciate the excitement for our next update and will have more to share in the coming weeks. The version available for download is an early unsupported test version of Outlook for Windows and is missing some of the features and enhancements that will be available for our beta testers. We encourage our customers to wait for the beta version to be released.”

Tips of the day:

When Windows 10 or has issues, it's not rare to run into startup problems. Corrupted Windows files, incorrect system configuration, driver failure, or registry tweaks can all cause this issue.

Using Windows startup repair can fix boot issues caused by the most prevalent issues. Though it may seem that all is lost when you run into startup problems, it's important to try a Windows boot repair so you can at least narrow down the source of the issue. If it doesn't work, you may have to reinstall the OS or test your hardware.
