We have already discussed LG's new W7 OLED flagship TV, but the South Korean company had more to discuss at CES 2017. The new Gram laptop range come with sleek designs, powerful specs, and are built to take full advantage of Windows 10. Microsoft discusses the new laptop on the Windows blog, welcoming the PCs to the platform.
Microsoft says that the Gram laptops are perfect for experiences like Windows Ink and Windows Hello. Considering the launch period of these LG machines, they will also be on market just in time to grab the Windows 10 Creators Update.
The range of Gram PCs come in a number of screen sizes. Each is designed to be portable and lightweight. The 13.3-inch model weighs just 940 grams, while the 14-inch model weighs 970 grams. LG also has a 15.6-inch version that still manages to keep the weight down at 1,090 grams.
One of the first things noticeable on the Gram is the screen-to-edge design. The screen has virtually no portrait bezels, while all the models are made from durable magnesium alloy. In terms of color options, the device is available in dark silver, shiny white, and metal rose, all in metallic finish. LG points out that the bezel-less touchscreen is perfect for using Windows experiences such as Windows Ink.

A fingerprint scanner also fits into Windows 10. The scanner allows users to unlock the Gram with the fingerprint scanner through Windows Hello. Lending to LG's aspiration of ultra-portability, the laptops boast a 60W battery, which the company says is the highest capacity in a laptop to date.
LG also wanted the new laptops to have high-end specs to blend with the lightweight and portability. The laptop comes with a 7
th generation Intel Core i7 processor. Multi-tasking is simple, the company says, even for intensive programs and services. In terms of storage, users can configure up to 512GB SSD, while RAM of up to 16GB DDR4 Dual Channel Memory.
A backlit keyboard is always a fantastic addition to any laptop, so it's good to see the Gram has one. The 15.6-inch variant gets a Thunderbolt port and more USB Type-C ports.
