Microsoft and Meta have joined forces to integrate Microsoft's Bing search into Meta AI's chat features. The integration is set to revolutionize the chat experiences across various platforms, including Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger, by providing users with more timely and up-to-date answers, leveraging real-time search information. “We're thrilled to announce that we've begun to work with Meta to integrate Bing into Meta AI's chat experiences enabling more timely and up-to-date answers with access to real-time search information,” shared Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft.
It is worth noting that the integration is the Bing search engine and not directly the Bing Chat AI search chatbot. The move is a part of the launch of Meta AI, a conversational model that Meta is rolling out across its services. Meta AI is built on the company's LlaMA 2 large language model.
