Google has announced a number of new features for its Password Manager, which is integrated with Chrome, Android, and Google accounts. The Password Manager helps users create, store, and autofill strong passwords for various websites and apps.

One of the new features is the ability to import passwords from a CSV file. This can be useful for users who want to switch from another password manager to Google's solution, or who have multiple accounts with different passwords. To import passwords, users need to go to passwords.google.com, click on the settings icon, and select “Import passwords”. Then they can choose a CSV file from their device or cloud storage and upload it.

Another new feature is the password health dashboard, which shows users how secure their passwords are. The dashboard can alert users if they have weak, reused, or compromised passwords, and suggest actions to improve their security. Users can also see how many accounts they have saved in the Password Manager, and how many of them are signed in with Google.

Google has also added a password generator to its Android keyboard, Gboard. This feature can help users create strong and unique passwords when they sign up for new services or change their existing passwords. Users can access the password generator by tapping on the key icon in the suggestion strip of Gboard.

Google Password Manager is a free password manager that helps you create, store, and autofill strong passwords for all your online accounts. It also offers features like two-factor authentication and password checkups to help keep your accounts secure.

Changelog for New Features on Google Password Manager

    • The ability to import passwords from CSV files. This makes it easy to transfer your passwords from another password manager to Google Password Manager.
    • The ability to generate strong passwords for new accounts. Google Password Manager can now generate strong passwords for new accounts, so you don't have to come up with them yourself.
    • The ability to share passwords with others. You can now share passwords with others, such as family members or co-workers.
    • The ability to see which of your passwords have been compromised in a data breach. Google Password Manager now checks your passwords against a list of known compromised passwords. If one of your passwords has been compromised, Google Password Manager will warn you so you can change it.
