Microsoft is rolling out a new Xbox Game Pass feature that allows users to recommend the service to their friends and family. Called Xbox Game Pass Friend Referral, the new feature is available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, allowing them to share subscription benefits with contacts.

Specifically, Xbox Game Pass Friend Referral program allows current subscribers up to five friends to try PC Game Pass for free for 14 days. Needless to say, these contacts will need to either have an Xbox console (for Xbox Game Pass) or a PC (PC Game Pass).

PC Game Pass is a subscription service that allows players to access Xbox games on demand. The Ultimate version of the program also provides access to EA Play and Xbox Cloud Gaming. In a blog post, Microsoft's Xbox team explains how the referral program works:

“The free trial comes with all the benefits of PC Game Pass, including new titles from on day one, an EA Play membership, and you can check out the biggest PC and mobile games on PC from Riot Games. Link your Riot Games account and Xbox profile to unlock the greatest Agents, champions, little legends, XP boosts, and more in Valorant, League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra.”

How to Send an PC Game Pass Invitation

Users who want to get the Friend Referral offer can see it on the Game Pass Home scree on a console or on Xbox.com. Here you can sent invitations through social media or email. Friends you invite must never have has a Game Pass subscription before.

Microsoft says the offer is running until June 30, 2023.
