Microsoft Access has been extended to more Office 365 subscriptions. The company took to its blog to announce the service is now available for Office 365 Business and Business Premium. Along with this expansion, Microsoft is also rolling out some new enhancements for the service.
If you are unfamiliar with Microsoft Access, it is the company’s database management solution for Office 365. It is geared towards small organizations and helps them gather and store data that is accessed through the desktop. This is ideal for small businesses that may not have an IT administrator.
With Access, Office 365 subscribers can develop applications and manage data. The data can be analyzed and tracked from multiple sources.
“Soon, Access will be rolling out to Office 365 Business and Business Premium subscribers. Access will be automatically installed for these customers as part of their next regular Office client update, rolling out between December 1, 2016 and January 30, 2017,” Microsoft announced on November 4.

With this release of the service to Office 365 Business and Business Premium, customers can get Access integrated. If they were to buy it as a standalone app it would cost $110.
However, Office 365 Business’ price is $8.25 per user per month annually or $10 per user per month if bought monthly. Office 365 Business Premium costs $12.50 per user per month annually or $15 per user per month on a per-month basis.
Access is already available in Office 365 ProPlus, E3 and E5 subscriptions. While announcing the new roll out, Microsoft added that new enterprise connectors are also coming early 2017. Among these connectors will be Dynamics CRM, Amazon Redshift and Salesforce. However, the connectors will be limited to Office 365 ProPlus, E3 and E5 plans.
