Microsoft Launches Mac Admins Community for IT Pros with Apple Mac Devices

-

Microsoft has launched “Microsoft Mac Admins“, a new online community aimed at IT professionals using Microsoft products on Apple devices in the enterprise. The community is designed to be a hub for Mac admins working with Microsoft 365 or Intune Mac management to connect, share experiences, learn from experts, and collaborate.

Meeting Growing Demand from Mac Users

The creation of the community is a response to the increasing number of organizations using Microsoft 365 products, including Microsoft Intune, to manage Macs in the enterprise. “Mac management has been a focus for Microsoft 365 that is demonstrated in the macOS capabilities offered and we continue to see phenomenal growth and customer-interest in macOS management”, said Arnab Biswas, Senior Product Manager at Microsoft Intune.

The community aims to provide a platform where organizations, specifically the IT community, can showcase their achievements, exchange tips and tricks, and collaborate with other Microsoft 365 or Intune administrators worldwide. “We wanted to provide a platform where organizations, specifically the IT community, can showcase their achievements, exchange tips and tricks, and collaborate with other Microsoft 365 or Intune administrators worldwide” Biswas added.

Open to All Microsoft 365 Users

The community is open to anyone with a Microsoft 365 account. Members can ask questions, offer solutions, provide feedback, and participate in discussions on various topics related to their Microsoft 365 experience on Macs. Members from the Microsoft Intune product team moderate the Microsoft Mac Admins community.

While the community is a valuable resource for IT professionals, Microsoft emphasizes that it is not a substitute for official product support. It is intended to complement existing support resources by providing a peer-to-peer platform for informal discussions and knowledge sharing.

To join the community, users need to email [email protected] and provide a Microsoft 365 email address. The Microsoft Mac Admins community can be accessed at https://aka.ms/MacAdmins.
