Microsoft Testing Windows 10 Mobile Redstone 2 Snooze Reminder Feature

Insiders may be testing a new Snooze Feature in the coming weeks. A new report suggests Microsoft is testing a Snooze reminder feature for Windows 10 Mobile Redstone 2.

Microsoft has been sending out Windows 10 Redstone 2 previews for a few weeks. The company is rolling out the builds for both Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 Mobile. The latest mobile preview Microsoft is working on comes with an interesting new feature.

Normally solid Windows phone source, Aggiornamentilumia.it suggests Microsoft is currently testing a Snooze remainder. The blog points out that the feature is currently being tested for a future Redstone 2 release.

When released, the Snooze feature will appear in a new menu item located in Microsoft Edge. Users will be able to engage with the feature through Cortana thanks to support for the virtual assistant. It will be possible to set up a reminder for things on the web page. For example, a reminder can be set up to suggest you share a page with someone, or to come back to it for some reason.

Redstone 2 in Preview

Microsoft rolled out the Anniversary Update to end users at the start of August. This was the Redstone 1 released that had been tested by members of the Windows Insider Program for months. Without wasting any time, the company moved straight to Redstone 2.

While the second Redstone release will not arrive until 2017, Microsoft is already working on it. That means pushing early build out to Insiders.

Those releases have already started to be sent out. At the moment the features are raw and few. However, the Snooze reminder may be one of the better early Redstone 2 features we have seen.
