Microsoft unveiled a series of exciting announcements during its Xbox Developer Direct 2025 showcase, delivering significant news for gaming enthusiasts.
The event’s centerpiece was the reveal of Ninja Gaiden 4, marking the return of the beloved action franchise after more than a decade.
Alongside this revival, the event provided updates on Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, with detailed insights into their gameplay mechanics, stories, and release timelines.

Compulsion Games provided an extended look at South of Midnight, their upcoming action-adventure game set in a fictionalized version of the American Deep South.
The game follows Hazel, a young woman discovering her Weaver abilities, which allow her to interact with mythical creatures and manipulate the magical world around her. The presentation showcased eerie swamps, massive alligators, and handcrafted environments inspired by Southern Gothic art.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 offers a refreshing take on turn-based RPGs with its “reactive turn-based” combat system, which combines real-time offense and defense mechanics with strategic decision-making.
Set in a fantasy version of Belle Époque France, the game centers on a mysterious figure called the Paintress, whose supernatural powers cause individuals to disappear as they reach a certain age.
