OpenAI has experienced considerable leadership shifts this year, raising questions about its future direction. The departure of Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati in September, after more than six years of steering AI advancements such as ChatGPT, was a significant event.
Following her exit, Bob McGrew, who led research, and Barret Zoph, vice president of research, also stepped down.
