Microsoft 365 Insider Blog Integrated into Tech Community

The shift aims to boost user engagement and interaction, offering a broader range of resources and fostering collaboration.

Microsoft has shifted its Microsoft 365 Insider blog to the Tech Community platform. Initially started as the Office Insider blog nearly five years ago, it has been a primary source for updates on new features in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The migration aims to leverage the functionalities of the Tech Community platform to boost user engagement and interaction.

Broader Access to Resources

The Tech Community platform offers a range of resources such as blog posts and event promotions. It aims to create a more collaborative environment among Microsoft 365 users, MVPs, and Community Ambassadors. With this new setting, users are expected to more easily connect with experts and fellow users to share timely information.

Microsoft made the announcement on the last ever post on the standalone 365 Insider page. The site will also act as a hub for events like AMAs (Ask Me Anything) sessions. Microsoft believes this new location will encourage better collaboration and interaction, thus enhancing the overall user experience. The initial post on the new platform is a comprehensive Microsoft 365 Insider handbook, detailing the program’s apps, sign-up process, and update mechanisms.

Motivation Behind the Shift

Microsoft has highlighted several reasons for this move, including increased engagement, improved community interaction, broader resource access, and enhanced collaboration. The new platform is designed to achieve these goals, offering a cohesive and interactive space for the Microsoft 365 Insider community.

Microsoft’s reasons for shifting the blog

  • “Enhanced Engagement: The Tech Community is designed for sharing timely information and driving community engagement.
  • Community Interaction: The Tech Community facilitates engagement with a larger community of Microsoft 365 users, MVPs, and Community Ambassadors, and enables you to share your thoughts, ask questions, and participate in discussions.
  • Access to Resources: The Tech Community provides a wealth of resources, including blog posts, event promotions, and more, all in one place.
  • Improved Collaboration: The Tech Community supports better collaboration and interaction, making it easier for you to connect with experts and peers.
  • Event Promotion: The Tech Community provides a platform to share blog posts, resources, and promote events like AMAs (Ask Me Anything) sessions.”

Access to the relocated Microsoft 365 Insider blog is now available on the Tech Community site, aiming to offer a more expansive and engaging platform for users. This change is expected to facilitate greater insight-sharing, query resolution, and community discussions.
