The feature, initially designed to expedite writing and response times in applications such as Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Drawings, has been extended. It was also copied by Microsoft with a similar tool in Outlook. Now, it displays mathematical solutions as users type equations that conclude with an equal sign.

The upgrade capitalizes on Smart Compose's capability to provide textual suggestions as users create documents or input data across various Google apps.
