AI solutions company Synthetaic and Microsoft have revealed a five-year collaboration. Their primary objective is to advance artificial intelligence (AI) data processing and cloud services. Microsoft has committed to providing nearly 1 million hours of cloud computing, which is expected to significantly enhance computer vision and data analysis in sectors like defense, business, and public services.
The Role of RAIC
At the center of this partnership is Synthetaic’s RAIC tool. Developed on Microsoft Azure, RAIC is designed to sift through vast data sets without extensive prior setup. It notably played a role in tracking certain balloon flights in China by analyzing a vast amount of Earth imagery.
Integration with Azure Space
Synthetaic plans to incorporate features from Microsoft Azure Space. This integration aims to devise innovative methods for using AI to process diverse image types, potentially benefiting areas such as national security, disaster response, and environmental monitoring.
Corey Jaskolski, Synthetaic’s CEO, emphasized the potential of the collaboration, noting that it would allow for more efficient data processing. Similarly, Jason Zander from Microsoft highlighted the transformative potential of AI in extracting valuable insights from vast data repositories.
Global Reach and Security
With the integration of RAIC on Azure and other Microsoft tools, Synthetaic’s AI solutions are set to be more accessible globally. Additionally, the use of Microsoft Azure Government Cloud ensures that U.S. government entities can utilize AI capabilities while maintaining stringent security protocols.
Beyond immediate objectives, Synthetaic will participate in Microsoft’s Pegasus Program, fostering collaboration between startups and larger enterprises. This partnership also underscores a commitment to societal betterment, with both companies aiming to leverage AI for broader societal challenges, including climate change.
