How to Connect Spotify to Discord on a PC

The following steps show how to link Spotify to Discord on a desktop PC via the official Discord app.

  1. Click on the Settings icon at the bottom left corner of the screen, next to your username

  2. Click on the Connections tab on the left sidebar and select Spotify
     
    You'll see a list of other apps that you can also connect to Discord, such as YouTube, Twitch, Steam, and more.

  3. Log in to your Spotify account and click “Agree”
     
    A pop-up window will appear, asking you to log in to your Spotify account and authorize Discord to access it. Enter your Spotify credentials and click on Agree.

  4. Select to “Display on profile” and/or “Display Spotify as your status”
     

    Display on profile: This option will show a small Spotify icon on your Discord profile, along with the song title and artist name. You can click on it to see more details, such as the album art and the duration of the song. This option does not affect your custom status, if you have one.

    Display Spotify as your status: This option will replace your custom status with a Spotify status, showing the song title and artist name. You can also click on it to see more details, such as the album art and the duration of the song. This option will override your custom status if you have one.

  5. Depending on your choice Spotify will show on your Discord status

  6. You can invite the members of a Discord channel to listen to Spotify with you
     
    Click the + button and select “Invite #channelname to Listen to Spotify”.

How to Connect Spotify to Discord on Mobile (iOS/Android)

  1. Select a server and tap on your profile picture at the bottom right corner
