In a bid to bridge the knowledge gap in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence (AI), Google has launched a series of free generative AI courses. The courses aim to upskill individuals for future jobs, particularly in the realm of AI and machine learning.

Google’s “Generative AI Learning Path”

Google’s new generative AI learning path includes different courses, designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of AI and machine learning. As detailed in a blog post from the Google Cloud team, the courses focus on the differences between AI and machine learning, an introduction to Google’s machine learning training platform Vertex AI, and the ethics around responsible AI development.

The courses are intended to serve as a starting point for users to understand generative AI, its place in the broader AI ecosystem, and to provide resources for further learning. This initiative is seen as a practical move, considering the US Bureau of Labor Statistics’ prediction of a 36% increase in the growth rate for data scientist roles over the next decade.
