Bing Image Creator Gets “Precise” And “Balanced” Modes

has announced several updates to its , a feature integrated into . The updates were confirmed earlier this week, with the Bing team revealing that they have not only increased the cap for daily chat turns and per session turns for Bing Chat, but also introduced significant improvements to Bing Image Creator.

Enhanced Functionality in All Modes

One of the major updates is the expansion of Bing Image Creator's functionality across all chat modes. Initially rolled out in Creative mode, users can now also utilize Bing Image Creator in the so-called “Precise” and “Balanced” modes. This enhancement is expected to provide users with a more varied AI art generation experience with either more creative/flexible results or image output that follows more strictly the provided input.

As stated in the Bing Preview Release Notes, users can explore these modes using commands such as “generate an image of a dinosaur chasing astronauts on Mars” or “generate a poster for a French art film featuring a Tortoiseshell cat”. This demonstrates the diverse range of creative requests the tool can handle, offering users a more comprehensive and engaging experience.

More Visual Results for Travel Queries for Bing Chat

Another update that has been introduced is the generation of more visual results for travel queries. When users ask Bing Chat questions like “What are the best places to see cherry blossoms in Japan?” or “What are some good summer vacation destinations in India?” Bing Chat will now provide more visually engaging answers, complete with links for more information in Bing Travel.

Future Plans for Bing Chat

Microsoft has hinted at future updates for Bing Chat that could be implemented as early as June. These include experimental support for using Bing Chat on other than , more backend support to prepare Bing Chat for the large-scale launch of third-party plugins, and significant improvements in disengagement rate, especially for code writing. The company is also planning to support a larger context size for use in Balanced mode.
