Windows 11 Moment 3 Release Expected Later This Year

Microsoft's Windows 11 Moment 3 update is coming closer.

seems to be making strides with its Windows 11 Moment 3 update. In November, the first signs of the feature update were found in the recent Beta channel releases, marking the start of the Zinc development semester.

Recently, mentions of future Beta channel builds 23141 and 23145 have emerged, signaling a move towards general availability. The Microsoft Symbol Server holds evidence of the company's ongoing development efforts.

Evidence of Progress

The initial discovery of the Moment 3 update in the Dev Channel builds in November were just first signs. The spillover of mentions of future Beta channel builds to the Beta Channel further indicates the progression of the Moment 3 features towards general availability.

Predicted Release Schedule

Although there have been speculations of the Windows 11 22H2 Moment 3 being released in May 2023, followed by Moment 4 later in the year, an official confirmation from Microsoft is still pending. Until then, the release schedule remains a topic of speculation.

Microsoft´s New Release Cadence Approach

Microsoft has shifted from its yearly Windows 11 feature update cycle to a new phased rollout approach that occurs every three to four months. This approach is referred to internally as “moments.” The company appears dedicated and determined in regard to the upcoming moment update releases.
