Windows 10 November 2020 Patch Tuesday Is Now Available

Microsoft is sending out its month Patch Tuesday cumulative updates covering most Windows 10 versions from recent years.

Right on time, 's November 2020 Patch Tuesday rollout took place yesterday. As usual, the company's security updates are available from the second Tuesday of the month. Microsoft has once again sent out updates across versions, including versions 1507, 1607, 1703, 1803, 1809, 1903, 1909, 2004, and 20H2, the latest major release.

That's almost every version of Windows 10, although versions 1511 and 1709 are not part of Patch Tuesday.

Starting with the two newest versions of Windows 10, 2004 and 20H2, Microsoft is rolling out KB4586781. This cumulative update brings version 2004 to build number 19042.630 and version 19041.630.

  • Updates to improve security when using input devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or pen.
  • Updates to improve security when using products.
  • Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.
  • Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.

Versions 1909 and 1903

For last year's Windows 10 feature upgrades, Microsoft is rolling out KB4586786. These versions are now on 18363.1198 and 18362.1198, respectively. You can manually download it here, and below is the changelog:

  • Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.
  • Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Office products.
  • Updates to improve security when using input devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or pen.
  • Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.

Here's the full list of fixes:

  • Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.
  • Addresses an issue with the package frame launcher (PSF) that passes a malformed parameter to a shim.
  • Security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, the Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Input and Composition, the Windows Wallet Service, Windows Fundamentals, and the Windows Kernel.

Windows 10 Version 1809

Those running 2018's second update, which will reach end of support soon is getting  KB4586793, bringing the build number to 17763.1577. Users can manually download it here, with the following changes:

  • Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Office products.
  • Updates to improve security when using input devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or pen.
  • Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.
  • Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.
