Microsoft Edge Gains Groups Tabs & Share Extension

With Groups Tabs & Share on Microsoft Edge, users can copy tabs with their URLs to the clipboard and share them.

-

has recently rolled out a “Groups Tabs & Share” extension for the Chromium web browser. The extension is available at the Add-ons Store and is like Google's Chrome Tab Groups tool.

Users can leverage Groups Tabs & Share to copy tabs with their URLs to the clipboard. These can be added in HTML, URL, JSON, or CSV formats. Users can then share the groups through social media networks, including Microsoft's own LinkedIn and Microsoft Teams services.

Microsoft has a Store description for the extension:

“This add-on enables you to select and share data, links, and other info at the click of a button; helping you save the time and effort. What is even more interesting is that you can also choose the way you would want them to be shared. -As URLs only, HTML, CSV, JSON”

Microsoft Edge at Build 2020

Microsoft's Build 2020 developer conference is ongoing, and the company had a couple of major announcements for Edge. Specifically, the company added a Pinterest integration and a Sidebar Search tool:

Looking at the Pinterest , Microsoft has integrated the image-based social network into Edge Collections. When the feature is enabled, Pinterest feeds suggestions at the bottom of the Collection page. Clicking a relevant suggestion opens a board showing similar Pins that you can then add to a collection on Edge.

Sidebar search is a neat on-page search tool. For example, if you're reading a Wikipedia page and want to search for something that piques your interest. Instead of opening a new tab and leaving the page, you can use the Sidebar Search tool.
