At E3 2019 last June, Microsoft announced Minecraft Dungeons, a new iteration of its blockbuster game franchise. However, while the company promised a Spring 2020 launch, details of the exact date have not been forthcoming. Today, Microsoft eased concerns and confirmed the title is coming as promised.
In fact, the company dropped an official launch date for Minecraft Dungeons. The special version of the world’s most popular game will arrive on April 30, 2020. So, that Spring 2020 timeframe has held firm since E3.
Furthermore, there is now a scan for the Microsoft Store placement that showcases the game. Admittedly, the Store page does not offer many details, but it is for both the Windows 10 and Xbox versions of the game.
Other details include Cross-Platform will be supported like on the regular Minecraft experience. Furthermore, there will be support for 4K Ultra HD.
A New Experience
At E3 last year, Microsoft released a trailer for Dungeons, showing it as a blend between the normal Minecraft block building and dungeon crawling action like Diablo. The company also confirmed the title will come to Xbox Game Pass on launch.
