Microsoft has discussed its 2020 wave 1 update for Dynamics 365, bringing over 400 new and improved features to apps. However, Microsoft is looking to what’s coming to Dynamics 365 soon and has revealed more new tools on the horizon.

Specifically, the company has announced some features are coming to the platform in the coming months. For example, Dynamics business applications will get a new tool called Finance Insights. Microsoft says this feature allows customers to see financial data more efficiently.

Artificial Intelligence drivers the core of Finance Insights. Microsoft leverages AI to give organizations more control and information regarding their financial situation. With a more in-depth understanding of their financial health, managers can take proactive actions.

Elsewhere, the company will also expand its Customer Insights tool. Soon, the feature will gain more connections to help organizations better understand their customers.

Coming Features

  • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – New first and third-party data connections to further enrich customer profiles that can be updated and activated in real-time, as well as enabling deeper insights with Azure Synapse Analytics and integrations with Microsoft Forms Pro, the simple, powerful enterprise survey solution.
  • Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Sales Insights – Available now, new manual and predictive forecasting capabilities empower sales organizations to have a better understanding of pipeline, more accurately predict results, and gain visibility into future performance. With a new engagement center designed to accelerate sales, we’re giving each inside seller a streamlined way to quickly triage, research, and engage new leads or opportunities.
  • Dynamics 365 Finance Insights – A new product coming to preview in May, Dynamics 365 Finance Insights accelerates digital transformation by bringing the power of AI into finance processes. As organizations look to make decisions rapidly, reduce risk and focus on strategic initiatives, it is critical to free finance from repetitive, time consuming and low value daily activities.
  • Dynamics 365 Project Operations – A new product that connects cross-functional project teams, Dynamics 365 Project Operations provides the visibility, collaboration, and insight needed to drive the success of project-centric organizations. Dynamics 365 Project Operations is built on Microsoft’s unified business cloud and leverages rich history across front and back office, as well as project management.”
