Microsoft has sent out its latest Windows 10 SDK, bumping the kit to build number 18995. Microsoft is running a little behind schedule. As always, the SDK follows a previous Windows 10 preview build on the Insider, this time build 18995. However, Microsoft has since updated the Inside to Windows 10 preview Build 18999.
We guess the Build 18999 Windows 10 SDK will arrive this week, but for the time being last week’s 18995 SDK is available.
Microsoft has not made any significant changes to the Windows 10 SDK. That’s because these updates are part of the Windows 10 20H1 branch. This is the development of next year’s major Windows 10 update that is expected to arrive in May 2020.
SDK builds will not receive new features until Windows 10 20H1 is out in the wild. Interestingly, Microsoft has still not issued any SDK updates for Windows 10 19H2, which will be released next month.
As always, there are some requirements you need to fulfil before downloading the SDK. Users must be running Windows 10 along with Visual Studio 2017 or newer. It is possible to use the new SDK alongside stable versions of Windows SDK.

Windows 10 18999
As mentioned, the next SDK should be bumped to Windows 10 version 18999. This is the Windows 10 preview Build 18999 arrived last week. The biggest addition was the ability for the Your Phone app to take and make calls from a connected Android device.
According to Microsoft’s blog, the feature allows the following:
- Answer incoming phone calls on your PC.
- Initiate phone calls from your PC using the in-app dialer or contact list.
- Decline incoming phone calls on your PC with custom text or send directly to your phone’s voicemail.
- Access your recent call history on your PC. Clicking on a specific call will auto populate the number within the dialer screen.
- Seamlessly transfer calls between your PC and phone.
