Microsoft Confirms ID@Xbox Open House for Aug. 29 with 13 New Games

Microsoft’s 6th annual ID@Xbox Open House event will be held later this month and will feature 13 new playable titles.

Microsoft has confirmed its 2019 ID@Xbox Open House event will be held on August 29. The gathering will be the sixth edition of Open House and will host over 50 games from independent developers.

Furthermore, Microsoft says there will be 13 new announcements at ID@Xbox this year. If you are unfamiliar with ID@Xbox, it is Microsoft’s platform that allows indie developers to create games for the Xbox One ecosystem.

Open House is the program’s corresponding event that gathers those developers and allows them to interact directly with Microsoft.

The company says several resources will be available at the 6th annual ID@Xbox Open House event later this month:

  • Talk to the independent developers bringing their games to Xbox One (which you can play!)
  • Meet some of the Microsoft teams behind your favorite gaming franchises
  • Mingle with the Xbox Ambassadors and learn what it takes to be a positive force in gaming
  • Join us for panels and let us tell you a tale (or two) in an auditorium-style setting
  • Streamed content, including interviews and more
  • Meet the ID@Xbox team!
  • A whole lot of free pizza and a few fun surprises

Available Games

No gaming conference is worth anything unless there are new games to see. Microsoft proved that at E3 2019 earlier in the summer when it went on a game announcement blitz. While ID@Xbox Open House will not quite reach that level, the company says the following 13 titles will be playable at the event:

  • Demon’s Tilt (Flarb LLC / Wiznwar)
  • Exhausted Man (E-Home Entertainment / Candleman Games)
  • Freshly Frosted (The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild)
  • Genesis Noir (Fellow Traveller / Feral Cat Den)
  • Hypnospace Outlaw (No More Robots / Tendershoot, Michael Lasch, ThatWhichIs Media)
  • Kine (Chump Squad / Gwen Frey)
  • Levelhead (Butterscotch Shenanigans)
  • Moving Out (SMG Studios)
  • She Dreams Elsewhere (Studio Zevere)
  • Skater XL (Easy Day Studios)
  • Spectrum Break (Jason Hein)
  • Superliminal (Pillow Castle)
  • Touhou Luna Nights (Vaka Game Magazine, Agm Playism / Vaka Game Magazine, Team Ladybug)

Microsoft will host the Open House on August 209 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PT at its Redmond Campus. The company is requesting attendees to RSVP, and says people under 18 must have a legal guardian with them.
