Microsoft To-Do is a popular application across platforms. On Android, the beta app has received a new update that brings the ability to group lists. The newest update is available for testing and should be with all end users within a few weeks.
By adding support for grouped lists, users can now collect lists and reduce the clutter on the app. It is worth noting some users who have Microsoft To-Do beta on Android say they still don’t have this feature.
It is likely Microsoft is either rolling the update out in stages or some device users will receive it before others.
Either way, the support continues Microsoft’s ongoing love for To-Do, an application that has become increasingly useful over recent years.
Just last month, Microsoft To-Do arrived on Apple’s macOS platform. Features of the app include the following:
- Stay focused with My Day, a personalized daily planner with suggested tasks
- Get your lists anywhere, on any device
- Share lists and tasks with your friends, family, colleagues, and classmates
- Create color-coded lists
- Set one-time or recurring due dates and reminders
- Break your tasks into manageable steps
- Add notes to any task
- Attach files up to 25 MB to any task
- Sync your tasks between Outlook and To-Do
- Add multiple accounts and quickly switch between school, work, and personal lists
Android To-Do Updates
In May, Microsoft made some changes to the To-Do full application on Android, including shared lists and an improved tablet mode.
If you’re offline, you’ll still be able to access the sharing link if it’s been generated previously. This is handy if you want to add it to a note or simply have it ready for when you get connection again. The app will also show initials as an avatar replacement.
