Microsoft Intune users can now access Windows MDM Security Baselines, which has now moved to general availability. Additionally, the company will release a new version of the tool alongside the release.
If you are unfamiliar with security baselines, they are a core group of configuration settings recommended by Microsoft to enhance security. These are industry-standard configurations that are tested to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Microsoft regularly updates the baseline to ensure optimum security is maintained.
Windows MDM Security Baselines can now be accessed across devices through Microsoft Intune. With the release, Microsoft is also launching MDM Security Baseline for Spring 2019 Update (19H1). This update introduces new settings and stability improvements.
By accessing Microsoft’s recommended security configuration, Intune users have a greater management ability in Windows 10 through Mobile Device Management (MDM). Microsoft manages the templates and issues updates through the cloud. Intune customers receive the latest security improvements direct from Microsoft 365.

Microsoft Intune users can protect data within an organization more rapidly and securely by deploying recommended configurations. MDM Security Baselines use intelligent cloud solutions to provide compliance and security:

- A first-class policy interface using familiar Intune policies to easily customize and deploy a baseline with MDM”
Intune users can deploy recommended security templates directly. However, the configurations can also be customized to meet the specific needs of an organization. Available baselines can be viewed at Microsoft’s official page here, which the contents of each template is also available.
