Microsoft yesterday rolled out Windows 10 May 2019 Update. As usual, this platform upgrade introduced plenty of new features and changes. One of the most interesting additions is new apps for the Media Feature Pack, which adds some extra applications to Windows 10. Media Feature Pack has been updated to support Windows 10 May 2019 Update. Microsoft says the pack is for users running Windows 10 N, which is a specific Win10 version that comes without media tools. In other words, the Media Feature Pack provides media controls to Windows 10 N. Among the tools missing in Windows 10 N are Cortana, Windows Mixed Reality, and Windows Hello. Media Feature Pack adds these services and has been supported in Windows 10 version 1903 (May 2019 Update). “This update provides support of media features in Windows 10 N. These include media-related technologies (Windows Media Player) and certain preinstalled media applications, such as Groove, Movies & TV, Voice Recorder, and Skype. You have to install additional software from Microsoft to have this communication functionality stream music play or create audio CDs, media files, and video DVDs; and take and store pictures,” Microsoft says.
