Media Feature Pack is now available on Windows 10 May 2019 Update, bringing media services to the Windows 10 N experience.

yesterday rolled out Windows 10 May 2019 Update. As usual, this platform upgrade introduced plenty of new features and changes. One of the most interesting additions is new apps for the Media Feature Pack, which adds some extra applications to Windows 10.

Media Feature Pack has been updated to support Windows 10 May 2019 Update. Microsoft says the pack is for users running Windows 10 N, which is a specific Win10 version that comes without media tools. In other words, the Media Feature Pack provides media controls to Windows 10 N.

“This update provides support of media features in Windows 10 N. These include media-related technologies (Windows Media Player) and certain preinstalled media applications, such as Groove, Movies & TV, Voice Recorder, and Skype. You have to install additional software from Microsoft to have this communication functionality stream music play or create audio CDs, media files, and video DVDs; and take and store pictures,” Microsoft says.

Users can install Media Feature Pack is available as an application like any other. However, once the app is installed you will have to reboot your system. The app contains all media services that will help make Windows 10 N more functional.

Microsoft says users can get more from Media Feature Pack by downloading other services. Among the recommended accompanying apps are Skype.
