Microsoft To-Do for Android Gets Improved Tablet Mode, Offline Share Links

The latest update for Microsoft To-Do's Android app features a myriad of UI improvements, as well as important fixes and accessibility considerations.

To-Do for has been updated to version 1.58.7679 with a number of fixes and improvements. In particular, the app has seen significant changes, with a new navigation mode presenting a full-width sidebar and drawer. The build also debuts a better UI layout for .

Aside from that, the app has received several usability improvements. If you're offline, you'll still be able to access the sharing link if it's been generated previously. This is handy if you want to add it to a note or simply have it ready for when you get connection again. The app will also show initials as an avatar replacement.

Finally, there have been a number of important fixes:

  • “Accessibility: Smart lists announce wrong information in the sidebar
  • Drag & Drop should not be enabled in Planned smart list
  • Crash setting user avatar
  • Do not crash if SSO account doesn't have email
  • Ensure avatar text is not duplicated on device rotation.”

Microsoft Planner Sync

It's clear that this is a relatively small update, but it's worth noting that Microsoft released a major feature just over a week ago. New integrations with Microsoft Planner mean tasks will appear in To-Do automatically. Tasks appear under a newly created list with just a toggle needed to enable the feature.

Users can also sync their flagged Outlook emails to app for quick additions, though it requires an work or school account. Generally, the app is in a great place right now and acts as a great complement to the desktop counterpart.
