Microsoft Updates Whiteboard on Windows 10 with Beautification and Grab Features

Whiteboard on Windows 10 now has an Ink beautification and Ink grab feature. Microsoft says the tools will come to iOS soon.

has revealed two new features coming to its application on . The company announced a beautification features and another tool called Ink Grab. Both new additions are rolling out to the Whiteboard on Windows 10.

Ink beautification allows users to automatically spruce up their handwritten notes. Writing on a screen is not easy, but beautification will make notes more legible. This is achieved by Whiteboard by analyzing the handwriting and replacing the strokes.

Ink grab is the second new feature. It gives users the ability to take a photo of notes on a real physical board and convert the image into digital ink on the Whiteboard application. Microsoft explains the feature saves time because users don't have to recreate notes.

Microsoft says ink beautification and ink grab are starting on Windows but will be available on Apple's iOS soon. In the meantime, Windows 10 users can check out the app by downloading it from Microsoft here.

Whiteboard Education

Earlier this year, Microsoft rolled out an Education version of Whiteboard.

Whiteboard for Education is an extension of the Whiteboard service Microsoft launched earlier this year. A collaborative application, Whiteboard integrates with inking capabilities of to bring content to a screen that can be used by multiple users across devices.

Functional locally or online, the service works with mouse, keyboard, pen, and touch. Documents sync automatically to the loud for use on any PC at a later date and inviting another user is as easy as sharing a link.
