Microsoft’s Sticky Notes is increasingly becoming one of the company’s fastest growing services. I once accused this tool as being a gimmick, but Microsoft has changed that perception with a flurry of features. The latest has brought image support to Sticky Notes on the web.
Back in November, Microsoft teased an image embedding feature for Sticky Notes. That ability has been in testing since and is now rolling out to all OneNote web users. With the features, users can attach images from their personal files on a phone or PC.
It seems Microsoft has not yet prepared image embedding for mobile or desktop versions of the app. That said, OneNote users with the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app are currently testing the feature on the Inside.
Earlier this month, introduced Sticky Notes to the web through OneNote. The browser version of the service is available at https://www.onenote.com/stickynotes. Users can sync notes across all devices through their Microsoft Account. As for the experience, users are getting the same feature set that’s available on Sticky Notes for Windows 10.
Recently the company rolled out an update on Windows 10 to bring Sticky Notes to version 3.0. Last month, we reported on Microsoft’s efforts to bring Sticky Notes to iOS and Android. Coming to those platforms soon, the service is once again integrated into OneNote.
Always on Top
Just last week, Microsoft rolled out an Always on Top button for Sticky Notes, further enhancing the capabilities of the service.
With this button, users will be able to stick notes onto the top of documents to keep them visible at all times.
