-

is rolling out mouse and keyboard support a week after its announcement. Xbox Insiders now have access to the feature, which may significantly change the gaming experience on consoles.

The feature is part of the 1811 Xbox One update and is available to Alpha Ring members. However, support for mouse and keyboard is currently limited. Microsoft is emphasizing that it will up to developers to decide, allowing them to split lobbies if they wish.

The first title to support mouse and keyboard is Warframe. It's a strange choice, as many PC players prefer a controller, but its free and co-op nature means it can be tested extensively at relatively low risk.

Xbox is revealing more information about the feature in a live stream on November 10. It plans to talk more about its partnership with Razer, a highly popular peripheral brand among PC gamers.

Experiments and Search

Microsoft is also bringing a number of other ‘experiments' to . It's yet to announce their details and they'll be available to small focus groups. There are similarities to Insiders, though, who the company uses to test things like app name and design changes.

Search has also netted some much-needed improvements. When looking in guide, you'll now see assist info, games you already own, and those you have ready to install. This includes titles in EA access and Xbox Game Pass.

Finally, a number of bug fixes address issues across My Apps and Games, performance, avatars, virtual keyboard, and more. Insiders can grab the latest build via the usual channels.
