E3 2018 is kicking off next week in Los Angeles and we know Microsoft’s Xbox briefing will happen this weekend before the expo. While there are no massive hardware reveals this year, the company does have something new to announce. WalkingCat reports Microsoft will unveil Xbox Official Gear Shop merchandise at the event.

If you watch any game-oriented YouTube of Twitch channel you will know the gaming world is big on “merch”. Microsoft seems to want a piece of the action. If you are an Xbox fan, the Xbox Official Gear Shop apparels and accessories should be ideal for you. For the rest, probably not.

Interestingly, at the end of last month, Microsoft detailed what we can expect at E3 2018. In that list was details of the first ever Xbox merchandise. Somehow just about everybody missed the following information:

Visit the Xbox Official Gear Shop

For the first time, come and visit the Xbox Official Gear Shop by Microsoft Stores in the Xbox Experience at E3. Fly your gaming colors and show off your fandom for Xbox and award-winning franchises like Halo, Forza Motorsport, and Gears of War as well as limited edition designer collaborations. We will have more information on this exciting new initiative over the coming weeks.”

According to the new report, Microsoft will make the merchandise available from gear.xbox.com. As you might expect, that link is currently not live, but we expect it will be next week.
