Microsoft Details Full Xbox Schedule for E3 2018

At E3 2018, the Xbox team will hold the usual Xbox E3 briefing and debut a new show called Inside Xbox, all to be streamed on the company’s Mixer app.

Microsoft’s Xbox team has been on a winning streak at E3 over the last two years. The company has bested Sony at the annual show to put Xbox One back on the map. Sure, PS4 will win this generation in terms of sales, but Microsoft may just be best prepared for the future. Either way, the company wants to keep its hot streak going at E3 2018.

With that in mind, the Xbox team has announced what we can expect to see at E3 2018 in Los Angeles this June. Knowing it is on a good run at the show, Microsoft is doubling down with an excellent show.

Major Nelson has detailed what we can expect to see from the Xbox brand in just under two months. As normal, the company will kick off the festivities with the Xbox E3 briefing at the Microsoft Theater. This will be held on Sunday, June 10 at 1pm (local). This event is where the company discusses new hardware (unlikely aside from accessories) and new games (very likely).

This year, Microsoft will be putting its Mixer game streaming platform to good use. For those who cannot be at E3 2018, the company will stream its participation on the Xbox Mixer Channel. This can be accessed through the Mixer app on Xbox One, Windows 10, Android, and iOS. The broadcast will be beamed in six languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish (LATAM), and Portuguese (LATAM).

Microsoft will also present a new show at E3 this year, called Inside Xbox. Going live on June 11 at 3pm (local), the show will present exclusive information, competitions, interviews, and game demos.

FanFest

As we revealed earlier this month, Microsoft’s Xbox FanFest is returning to E3 and is bigger than ever. There are two running competitions to decide the attendees for the show.

Winners get a place amongst 400 other winners to attend the FanFest, which will run on June 10 and 11 this year. The second prize is one of 1,000 new Xbox Briefing-Only Fan Tickets. Winners of this prize can attend Microsoft’s Xbox briefing at E3 on June 10 at 1:00 PM PST.
