Microsoft Updates Sway with Print and Export Capabilities

Version 18.1710 of Sway for Windows 10 also gets more customization tools for the Design Pane and an improved Horizontal Layout.

has issued the latest update for its Sway app on . With this release, the storytelling and presentation tool is bumped to version 18.1710.51901.0. Users will see several new abilities and general improvements to the application.

Sway is a digital storytelling tool that allows users to create designs and publish them with simple tools. Microsoft has said the abilities of Sway will suit the needs of beginners and semi-professional.

With the latest release, Microsoft has introduced the ability to print in Sway. Users now has a two-click path to be able to print their work.

Export is also available, allowing projects to be moved to PDF or Word. This gives users the ability to work offline and share their content in other file formats.

Microsoft has also brought customization options to the app. The Design Pane has scored several color options to help users further customize their creations. Finally, Horizontal Layouts have been improved to give better alignment.

  • Print – Want to print your Sway? Now you can do it with two mouse clicks. Open the “…” menu at the top right and choose “Print”.
  • Export – Export a project to PDF or Word for offline sharing or to edit it in other file formats. Open the “…” menu at the top right and choose “Export”.
  • Customize Your Sway – Add Colors to the Design Pane to customize your design based on your brand.
  • Horizontal Layout – Horizontal Layouts have been changed to improve alignment and more effectively use space. Try joining some adjacent elements to see the effect.
  • Bug fixes and various enhancements.

Sway

Sway has been downloaded just over 1,800 times on Windows 10 and has a 4.5 star out of five rating. The app allows users to drop photos, video, and other multimedia into their creations.

The app is also connected across social media networks and devices, helping users to find the media content they need with suggested searches. However, the app is first and foremost a design tool. It can be used to create newsletters, presentations, and more.
