has launched its August update for OneNote on . The company is sending out what is an extensive set of new features for its note taking app. If you follow build numbers, this brings the OneNote app up to version number 17.8471.5772.

Landing six weeks after the July update for Windows 10, this release gets some interesting additions. However, Product Manager Lead William Devereux says the update is rolling out in stages.

Whether you get right now or in a few days or weeks, here's what OneNote gets this month:

Text to Math: Users can now type equations as text through their keyboard. Math can be used to solve the equation or used to draw a graph. To do this, users must type an equation and click the Lasso Select button in the Draw Tab. Drag a circle around the equation and hit the Math button.

Smart Lookup: Research is now more dynamic within OneNote. The August Update brings the ability to see wiki articles, word definitions, and top related searches without needing to leave the app. A simple right clock to select Smart Lookup is all users need to do.

Insert online pictures: As the name suggest, users can now insert images into the OneNote app directly from the internet. Microsoft explains “Use Bing's Image Search to safely insert photos and images without ever having to leave OneNote. On the Insert tab, choose Pictures > Online. In the Online Pictures pane, use a keyword to search for the perfect picture for your notes.”

More August Update Features

The new additions do not end there. Microsoft has also expanded table capabilities in OneNote, added more colors to highlighting, and introduced a zoom feature:

Tables of all shapes and sizes: One cell or many? Choose the number of rows and columns you need to organize your content. Once you've got a table, you can add or delete rows or columns, add table shading, or sort your content.

More highlight colors: Yellow isn't the only color in the rainbow. Now you can highlight with blue, green, red, and more.

Zoom in, zoom out: Use the new Page Width option on the View tab to zoom out to see all the notes on your page, or zoom in to focus on just what you need.”
