Xbox One Insider Hub to Allow Start Screen Customization and Drive Copying

An upcoming update for the Xbox One Insider Hub will introduce two important new features. As well as the ability to change home screen images, users will be able to copy games more easily.

has an interesting new update prepared for the Insider Hub. A new listing that marks an upcoming release shows a couple of new features, including the ability to copy all games to a hard disk.

Found by Xbox Dynasty, the new features will be rolled out in the coming days or weeks. As mentioned, users will be able to copy games more freely. Microsoft has also introduced a much-anticipated ability to customize the Xbox One home screen:

  • “Copy all games & apps: With the latest update, it will be easier to copy games back and forth. Once you have copied your entire game collection to the external hard disk, you can enjoy the “Copy / move all” selection.
  • Edit your start screen: The look and feel of the new dashboard has been updated to set speed. In addition, individual customization options are brought into focus. With the latest update, you can easily change your home screen (Home) and customize it to suit your needs. Friends or favorite games can also be placed on the home screen. The box is then placed on the start screen and this can be moved like the pins.

Xbox One users will also be able to copy contents of an internal drive (games and content) to an external storage unit. This changes the current ability, where users can only copy games individually. This, naturally, can be time consuming. The new ability will let users move entire drives in one go.

There is no official release date for these features, but we guess they will be dropping soon.

Xbox One Insider Hub

Microsoft opened the Insider Hub for Xbox One to give users the chance to test new features. In exchange, those users can give the company valuable feedback to improve features.

Recently, Microsoft stopped taking new applications for the program. The company also introduced a Hub application on the Windows Store for PC.
