According to the company, Scorpio will feature a powerful CPU of eight custom x86 cores at 2.3GHz, as well as 12GB of RAM. It is safe to say that Project Scorpio will be a significant step above the current Xbox One S.

Here are the full specs of Project Scorpio:

  • CPU: Eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz
  • GPU: 40 customized compute units at 1172MHz
  • Memory: 12GB GDDR5 with 8GB for games

Furthermore, a few days ago we saw the LCD screen of the Project Scorpio dev kits in action and it is truly impressive. With this screen, developers can see frame rate counts and see read and write speeds. The report shows an animated version of the screen, but Widows Central suggests the real thing will be seen soon.

Another key point of Scorpio is its 4K optical drive. Fans can't wait to witness the graphics power of the console and Microsoft teased some interesting images in a new private demo, back in April. However, as the Head of Xbox, , pointed out, Scorpio is not all about 4K and the console will offer much more than just good graphics.
