Microsoft’s Skype UWP app for Windows 10 has been given a significant bump with its latest update. The universal app has been upgraded to version 11.13.133 with several new features. This is a release for all Windows 10 users on Mobile and PC, it is not a Windows Insider build.
The biggest change made to Skype UWP in build 11.13.133 is a new contacts system. Microsoft says it has simplified the way users connect with their contacts. Now Skype will show mutual contacts shared within the People app on a device. It is possible to turn this setting off within the app.
Another change is the addition of searchable chats within the Messaging app. My including keyboard shortcuts, Skype UWP users now get easier choices more quickly. Extending the Messaging features, the app now also allows the sending of SMS messages with “a little Skype Credit.”

Leaving Skype Preview
This update for all Windows 10 users follows a similar release for Windows Insiders last month. Version 11.13.115.0 was significant because it was the first build to shed the Preview tag. It meant Skype UWP is now a fully-fledged Windows 10 application.
Microsoft had been testing Skype Preview since the early months in 2016. The app is built off the company’s Universal Windows Platform (UWP) idea. This allows the same app to be synced and functional across all Windows 10 devices.
It seems that Build 11.13.133 for all Windows 10 users is the same as the preview build sent out last month.
