Xbox Insider Program Ring 4 Gets Windows 10 Creators Update Preview

Now that the Creators Update has moved to Ring 4 on the Xbox Insider Program suggests the final release of the update is due to arrive soon.

For members on Ring 4, is has been a long wait for a new preview build. Today, has finally delivered with a new Ring 4 preview build for owners. This is the latest Creators Update, which will be landing officially on April 11.

In the meantime, Microsoft is closing down previews ahead of the full roll out. Unfortunately, there is no changelog provided. However, considering this is a late Creators Update preview, we guess there will be performance enhancements and fixes.

As Ring 4 is the last of the Xbox Insider Program, it seems likely that this is the last preview we will see. It also lends weight to the idea that the Creators Update will drop early in April.

It is worth remembering that Microsoft has still not offered a specific launch date. Xbox One users on the inside will know the company has not added any new features to the console in months.

Recent Xbox Insider Program Update

Last week, Microsoft rolled out Build 15063 to the Preview Alpha of the Xbox Insider Program. The changelog for this release was fair extensive in terms of improvements and fixes. However, it was a non-Creators Update release probably due to drop after the feature update launches:

Arena on Xbox Live

  • World of Tanks fans will be able to participate in new tournaments on their Xbox One, created by ESL and powered by Arena on Xbox Live.
  • Discover tournaments from your Xbox One or Xbox app on Windows 10, get notifications when your match is ready, jump directly into your match on the Xbox One, enjoy automatic results reporting, and show off the results on your activity feed.

  • Your profile will display your Arena tournament history and upcoming tournaments.
  • In your Activity Feed, we're adding the ability to hide individual posts, pin posts to the top of your feed, and filter posts by friends, games or Clubs.

Clubs and Looking for Group (LFG)

  • When creating an LFG post, see all the recent tags you've used and easily select them.
  • Club owners can upload custom images for their Club logo and Club background. Just like custom gamerpics, we expect this to be in preview longer than other features to ensure it's great for everyone when released.

  • Club owners and admins can pin a post at the top of their Club feed.
