Microsoft and Tata Communications Partner for Network Assessment as a Service Offering

Microsoft's partnership with Tata Communications will deliver not only NAaaS services but an add-on for Office 365 under the Skype Operations Framework. The collaboration will allegedly accelerate the suite's managed services and increase productivity.

Tata Communications and Transformation Services Limited (TCTSL) has announced a partnership with at Mobile World Congress 2017. The Telco managed services provider will pair with the Redmond giant to deliver Network Assessment as a Service (NAaaS).

The collaboration also brings add-on service for Office 365, under the Skype Operations Framework. TCTSL says its best-in-class network assessment framework will accelerate managed services and therefore productivity.

“It is a business priority for all enterprises to provide consistent and seamless user experience to enhance employee productivity across devices and locations,” said CEO of TCTSL Sandeep Bhatnagar. “Our NAaaS services will help Office 365 and Skype for Business providers leverage our years of experience to maximize and deliver the best results on an enterprise customer's network.”

Digital Transformation Roadmap

WMC 2017 was also an opportunity for Tata Communications to unveil its Digital Transformation Roadmap, which comes via a collaboration with OVUM Consulting. The firm is providing information to facilitate risk-free upgrades for Communication Service Providers to Digital Services Providers.

It will do so via identification of revenue sources and creation of a unique, priority focused roadmap for CSP companies. The company elaborated on these priorities at WMC, also talking about areas TCTS can help through partnerships.

“We believe that while individual transformation priorities for each service provider will be unique, an indicative framework for transformation can help operators with more efficient execution and de-risk their transformation projects,” said Bhatnagar.

MWC was also positive, if not less exciting, for Microsoft. The company benefitted from a number of new devices, including the HP pro x2 and the Samsung Galaxy Book. The addition the TCTSL partnership will no doubt bring further value and cement the bond between the two companies.
