has updated its Sales Navigator offering in a way that could provide fierce competition to rivals. The now -owned company is introducing an ‘Enterprise Edition' that introduces some powerful new features.

While Sales Navigator's ‘Team Edition' provides great functionality for groups of salespeople, Enterprise takes a step up. Head of products Doug Camplejohn describes it as “the best version of Sales Navigator for high-functioning sales organizations.”

Enterprise Edition Features

The new offering certainly looks like a step up from the other offerings and ties in some recent acquisitions. Sales Navigator now has integration with PointDrive, an app that makes it easier to create and share engaging content with customers.

PointDrive lets businesses deliver a bundle of materials in a beautiful mobile or desktop interface, also providing in-depth traffic analytics. The functionality is available to both Enterprise and Team editions, though the latter will be limited 10 PointDrives per seat per month.

However, LinkedIn is also taking this opportunity to address some productivity issues. Rather than having to log Sales Navigator activities manually in CRM's, it now has writeback functionality. This lets users set notes, mail, and calls as CRM activities with a single mouse-click, reducing micro-management.

The current focus is with , though Camplejohn does promise integration with other CRM platforms later in the year. This combines with new CRM widgets, which let you view Sales profile details within Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. The functionality will soon come to Oracle, SAP Hybris, Netsuite, SugarCRM, Hubspot, and Zoho.

TeamLink Extend

The final addition is LinkedIn's TeamLink Extend feature. Currently, TeamLink lets users take advantage of a network of internal salespeople through Navigator. However, issues arise if employees aren't on LinkedIn or don't use the software at all.

TeamLink Extend lets anybody in the organization opt-in to that pool. Salespeople can then search through the whole company to see if anyone has a link to a particular client and set up an introduction. LinkedIn is providing

LinkedIn is providing Enterprise Edition customers with 1,000 Team Link seats free of charge. It also ups the number of InMails to 50 a month and adds Single Sign-On functionality.

The features don't come cheap, weighing in at $1,600 per seat per year. Companies can request a free demo today from the LinkedIn Sales Solutions website.
