If you are looking for a flagship smartphone and want the Windows 10 Mobile platform, your options are limited. Microsoft's Lumia 950 XL is nearly 16 months old and sold out. No, the only real option these days is the HP Elite x3. Thankfully, it is a spiffing phone and among the best on the market, period. HP is now sweetening the Elite x3 with a solid discount.
The company has knocked a cool $200 off the handset running through until March 31. The HP Elite x3 bundle is now available for $599. That is still a chunk of notes, but is a much sweeter deal considering the bundle also comes with the Desk Dock.
If you are unfamiliar with the Desk Dock, it is a station to rest the Elite x3. It connects the device through Microsoft's Continuum feature that turns the smartphone into a Windows 10 PC.
There is certainly plenty to get excited about with this offer. Simply put, the HP Elite x3 is the best Windows 10 Mobile handset by a distance, but it is a hugely expensive piece of hardware. At least for this month, interested customers can get the smartphone at a reduced price.

HP has been busy in recent weeks with its device. At the Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017) at the end of February, the company teased a new device. It remains unclear whether this handset will be the follow up to the Elite x3 or another smartphone entirely.
It makes sense that HP is working on a sequel to its device. The x3 was launched last August and will be a year old this summer.
The company is also about to introduce a new Lap Dock for the handset. The current Lap Dock allows the Elite x3 to become a laptop as it features a shell of Full HD screen, back-lit keyboard, and ports. The new Lap Dock will bump the size of the screen up to 14 or 15 inches.
At the moment, the HP Elite x3 is flying the flag for Windows 10 Mobile. The handset is focused towards business users and is among the most potent devices on the market. It sports a 5.96-inch AMOLED screen with Quad HD resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, and 4GB of RAM.
