Since LinkedIn’s acquisition by Microsoft back in December 2016, the employment-oriented social networking service has seen its numbers rise significantly. Now, LinkedIn has announced enhancements to its Premium subscription plans, in a move to boost the value proposition and direct outcomes delivered through LinkedIn data on businesses, careers, and education.

The goal for us on the Premium team is to deliver direct economic outcomes to our members,” says Gyanda Sachdeva, senior director of product management and head of LinkedIn’s Premium subscription products, in the announcement.

Personalized insights added to LinkedIn Jobs

In order to help users find the right job, LinkedIn has added several personalized insights to the LinkedIn Jobs homepage for Premium subscribers. The homepage now immediately surfaces users’ connections at a hiring company, jobs they would be a top applicant for, and companies that are growing quickly for professions similar to the users’.

Once a user finds a job opening that interests them, the new experience of LinkedIn job postings gives them insights on the team they might work with if they get the job, as well as the company’s hiring trends.

LinkedIn Premium Career Insights

For Premium Business subscribers, LinkedIn has added the Premium Business Insights feature which provides unique and timely data directly on the Company Pages of organizations that interest users.

LinkedIn ‘Salary’ and ‘Learning’

Last November LinkedIn unveiled its new salary tool, called LinkedIn Salary. Thanks to the announced LinkedIn Premium enhancements, users now have access to Salary without having to contribute their own salary information. Premium subscribers can now filter jobs by salary and have immediate access to more precise salary information on the job postings they’re interested in.

In addition, both Premium Career and Premium Business now include unlimited access to LinkedIn’s learning platform, LinkedIn Learning. What LinkedIn Learning does is it helps users identify the skills they need to advance their career, and also delivers expert-led courses for users to obtain those skills.
