Microsoft Brings Big Surface Book Savings to US, UK, and Australia

Customers in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia can pick up a Surface Book with hundreds of dollars in savings. In the US and UK, the base model has been reduced, while in Australia several high-end models are available at cut prices.

We think most people would agree that the is an excellent piece of kit. 's laptop hybrid was awesome in its original form and is now even better since the company updated is in November. The only real downside to the Surface Book is its price. Admittedly it is not an affordable product, but Microsoft currently offering sizeable discounts on the device.

There are major price cuts on the Surface Book in the United States, , and . It seems that entry-level models of the laptop are getting big cuts in the US and the US, while higher end models are receiving discounts Down Under.

The Core i5 Surface Book with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM is the base model. Through the Microsoft UK Store it is available for £999, a significant saving from its normal £1,299 price point. Similarly, in the US Microsoft Store the same model costs $1,299, down from $1,499.

In Australia, customers looking for a hugely powerful Surface Book can get the Core i7 256GB model with 8GB RAM for AU$2,804. Normally this same model would cost an eye watering AU$3,299. The deals in Australia do not end there. The Core i7 512 GB Surface Book with 16 GB of RAM is on sale at AU$3,569 instead of AU$4,199.

The very top of the range Core i7 with 1 TB of storage and 16GB RAM is now available in Australia for AU$4,206, a drop from AU$4,949.

New Surface Book

Microsoft launched an updated laptop at its Creators Update/ Surface Studio event. The new version comes with 2x more graphics performance against the older model. The company says this has doubled and trebled capability compared to Apple's MacBook Pro 13. With this new device, customers also get a vastly improved 16 hours of battery life.
