Microsoft Announce FastTrack Previews for Windows 10 and Dynamics 365

In addition, the company has introduced its customer success service to Microsoft Teams, bringing along new resources to the chat-based workspace. FastTrack for Office 365 has also received several enhancements.

According to , FastTrack for can help customers migrate to Windows 10 with confidence, bringing together resources, tools, and prescriptive guidance.” Through the FastTrack website, customers can plan each of the three phases of the adoption plan.

The first phase is ‘Envision' which is the planning process where customers will be able to “define their vision and identify and prioritize resources for deployment.” Microsoft offers resources and tools through FastTrack's website that can help customers explore the deployment options and become familiar with the latest deployment approaches.

Then comes ‘Onboard', where customers can request engagement from a qualified partner who will help them build a proper success plan for Windows 10. Microsoft recommends “organizations to consider including ProPlus alongside their Windows 10 rollout in order to provide a modern secure and productive computing experience.

The third and final phase of the adoption plan is ‘Drive value'. There Microsoft will help its customers understand “the benefits of working in a new way and to drive adoption.” Partners will have the opportunity to work with customer IT staff that will ensure a smooth migration experience to Windows 10.

Smooth transition to Dynamics 365

Microsoft has also announced a FastTrack preview for , the company's intelligent business cloud service. The Dynamics FastTrack engineering team will help customers through three interactions:

Technical talks focus on providing technical depth and best practices that empower both customers and partners with more knowledge specific to the subject areas. These talks often provide an overview of available tooling and/or content.

Workshops are interactive, and outcome-based activities, and may involve automation and tooling. Customers and partners can provide input prior to the workshops and customize them for their engagements.

Regular touchpoints are typically 30-minute calls that continue throughout the duration of the engagements. Small technical proof points are sometimes provided to help remove customer roadblocks.

Microsoft Teams gets big boost

After announcing last November Microsoft has expanded FastTrack to also support the company's chat-based workspace. A new scenario, awareness kit, and Productivity Library cards have been introduced to Microsoft Teams along with “remote onboarding and user adoption guidance from our FastTrack team.

Microsoft has made this available in advance of Microsoft Teams general availability to “allow you to begin planning and piloting Teams ahead of your organizational rollout.

FastTrack for Office 365 has received several enhancements such as new Office 365 ProPlus deployment best practices and the new Office 365 Adoption Guide.

Originally offered as an onboarding benefit for Office 365 customers, FastTrack has quickly evolved to a customer success service. It helps businesses onboard and drive adoption for Office 365 and Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS).
