Samsung Rumored to Launch Two Windows 10 Tablets at CES 2017

SamMobile reports that the South Korean tech giant plans to unveil two new tablets running Windows 10 at the annual event.

-

Apparently, aims to present two new devices running 10 at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas next month. The company has refrained from producing  tablets for quite some time, so this might be a welcome change.

According to the SamMobile report, one of the Windows 10 tablets will have the model number SM-W720. It is expected to be the successor to the Galaxy TabPro S (SM-W700) that was presented in March this year. Considering the similarity between the model numbers and the release date, it makes sense to see a successor to Galaxy TabPro S.

Since there is not much information to go on, we don't know what to anticipate in terms of specifications. The current model is a high-end Windows 10 device. It boasts a 12-inch Super AMOLED display, 6th generation Intel Core M processors, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage.

It's likely that the SM-W720 would continue in those footsteps, featuring next-gen Intel Core M chips. Other than that, we are not sure what to expect and can only further speculate.

In addition, the second rumored is the SM-W620, possibly a smaller version of the SM-W720. SamMobile assumes it will have a smaller display and less impressive specifications.

CES 2017

Since these are just rumors, you should take them with a grain of salt. However, we won't have to wait long to find out as the is only a few days away.

Samsung is expected to reveal a number of devices at CES 2017, including smart gadgets for home improvement. Still, there are some things that we do know for a fact. The company will introduce its quantum dot curved monitors, as well as three new smart TV sets at the event.
