Running into problems when installing an update is a fairly common occurrence among Windows users. What makes it hard to understand a particular problem are those cryptic error codes Windows provides. They  mean little to nothing to most people.

However, Microsoft now has a solution for that problem. The company has created a dedicated section on its support page called “Fix Windows Update errors”.

It contains a simple walk-through with step-by-step instructions on how to fix the problems when installing Windows updates. Users can identify and fix the problem in no more than four or five steps, depending on the problem. Here is the description Microsoft provides on its website:

  • What does this guided walk-through do? This guided walk-through provides steps to fix problems when installing updates. Windows support

The walk-through supports resolving issues in Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. However, Windows 8 users need to upgrade to Windows 8.1 as it is no longer supported. If you are having issues with your update, go to the official website and have a try.
