Microsoft Updates Sprightly for Android with Integrated Bing Image Search

With the latest Sprightly build users benefit from Google photo and Bing Images integration, resulting in a wider variety of assets.

's Sprightly app has done fairly well on , with over 50,000 downloads and a 4.2 rating overall. The app helps you to create basic designs in a simple, touch interface that anybody can use.

However, users have been limited in photo options since release. A lot of Android users use Photos, as it provides a free, unlimited cloud storage option. Previously, you would have to download the image before using in Sprightly, but you can now import straight from the cloud.

Bing Images

Another major feature is the ability to search Bing Images from within the app. This makes it much faster to import the exact photo you need. Here's Microsoft's full description:

“Looking for that perfect image for your design? No problem! Now search for images using Bing or download them from your Google Photos storage. Greater variety of images means even more gorgeous designs, so start creating today!”

I found the experience to pretty fast and intuitive on the whole, and you can import photos from different sources at the same time without a hitch.

Video Magazine Support

The feature also works well with Sprightly's previous addition, video magazines. The video functionality means organizations can now create digital content that is more engaging and has a higher retention rate. The application now has a “Video Magazine” section with two different templates available.

However, the feature may not work exactly as you would expect. Rather than allowing users to add their own video, it instead supports up to ten images. These images are then displayed with smooth transitions in a video format. Background music is also provided to create a multi-sensory experience.

The other template also comes with different background music, which adds a bit more variety. Additionally, you can add a watermark to the video to avoid people ripping the content and using it as their own.
You can access all three features today by downloading Sprightly from the Google Play Store.
