  • Backward Compatibility: This build contains a fix to address stuttering and framerate issues in backward compatible games.
  • Xbox Universal Store: Resolved an issue which could sometimes cause recently purchased content (movies, TV shows) to fail to launch.

Recent Updates

As mentioned, last Saturday Microsoft sent out another Xbox One Preview build. That release brought Xbox One preview users to OS version rrs1_xbox_rel_1608.160901-1913. This was also a preview release, but actually made its way to end users yesterday.

Microsoft was busy through the end of July and the first week of August. The company rolled out the Summer Update (Anniversary Update) with major changes such as Cortana support. That release also merged the Windows Store with the Xbox Store.
