The Windows 10 Anniversary Update started rolling out yesterday on PCs, HoloLens, and Xbox One. However, Windows 10 Mobile users were left out in the cold. Was this Microsoft further turning away from its mobile platform? No, instead a company employee has confirmed that the Anniversary Update will come to mobile on August 9.
Microsoft has not officially confirmed this is the date, but the company's Lumia India Twitter account did speak out:
@VinayRavipati Thanks for reaching out! For mobile, it will be available on August 9, 2016. If you have any queries, we'll be here for you!

The Anniversary Update will bring an array of changes to the Windows 10 Mobile platform. It will also strengthen ties to other Windows 10 formats with the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) Apps created for UWP will now work across Windows 10 devices as Microsoft attempts to create a true cross-platform ecosystem.
New Features
Members of the Windows Insider Program have been tasting the features coming to Windows 10 Mobile next week. For the last few months, Microsoft has been rolling out preview builds for Insiders to test features and provide feedback.
UWP means that many new Anniversary features are uniform across PC and mobile. However, Windows 10 Mobile gets some specific new additions too. The Windows camera app has been changed and the lock screen now sports a dedicated camera button.
