In response to a disappointed Windows Phone user, Microsoft Portugal has stated that Pokémon GO will be making its way to the Windows Phone platform.
Pokémon fan and Windows Phone user Rafael Pinheiro shared his dismay with Microsoft Portugal and wrote, “The Pokémon GO is a phenomenon that is taking over the world, but users of Windows Phone. It is not acceptable this App not be available for Windows Phone.” He even stressed on dropping the platform in favour of a competitor as a result of dryness of good apps on the Windows Phone Store.
Pokémon GO has been a hot topic and users have been waiting for it eagerly. Now, Thanks to this response from Microsoft Portugal, it seems the game will be available on the Windows Store “soon”.

However, it’s important to note that Microsoft Portugal cannot speak on behalf of Pokémon GO or Windows Developers. Many times Microsoft support workers have told Windows users that apps like Snapchat would be making their way to the platform, but the information was clearly inaccurate.
The availability of this game is still a debate as there’s no official word either from Microsoft or from Niantic.
Pokémon GO is leading Android and iOS app store with millions of downloads. The game has been trending on social media and could definitely be the next big thing on Windows Store.
A number of users have requested to introduce Pokémon GO for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. Feedbacks have been sprouting and a change.org petition has also been signed with more than 84,000 supporters for the game.
